Maggie has got to be one of the cutest babies in the world. Possibly in the whole universe. Her happy and curious demeanour is such a joy to photograph. These photos are long overdue but I hope you enjoy them - they are among my favourites. This session was held just before Maggie's first birthday and she sat pretty for us in a gorgeous navy dress. I love the bunny ears with this dress... there is a certain grace about the pairing that reminds me a little of Alice in Wonderland.
Maggie is such a bright-eyed and curious child!
She was super sweet and totally at home in front of the camera.
We took a short break before the cupcake smash. Vince sat in front of her and made her giggle hysterically. Something about Vince just cracks her up!
We also took the opportunity to take a few family photographs. Maggie has always been an expressive baby and this day was no exception. :)
Next up was the cupcake smash. Oh boy, was it a mess but Maggie seemed to enjoy herself. Photographing a one year old pick at, grab, sit on, and subsequently eat bits of cupcake is definitely very entertaining - Rebecca and Mike were such good sports to agree to the idea. I love how the photos turned out and I hope Maggie will get a kick out of them when she is older! :)

Fashion Faux Paws
A few months ago, I was asked by a colleague to help photograph an event at Pawsway. The task was to have a group of photographers act as "paparazzi" for the Fashion Faux Paws event - a fundraiser for the Companion Animal Wellness Foundation (CAWF). I have been meaning to do more volunteer work related to my photography so I gladly signed myself and Vince up for the event.
The event was an enormous success! The show was supremely entertaining - Carlo Rota (Little Mosque on the Prairie) hosted the show and the wonderful Louise Pitre and Carrie Chestnutt provided some beautifully soulful music. We were treated to a night filled with laughs, great music, and a fashion show starring a few adorable four-legged friends. This was about a week before Vince and I brought Lulu home so the event definitely hyped us up for her arrival.
