Our gear is packed and we're ready to go!
Please note that Vince and I are taking the next couple of weeks off. We're participating in a Global Village build with Habitat for Humanity in Kenya. YES, KENYA!!! I'm very excited. Not only that but we'll be stopping in Paris for a layover. I hope we have enough time to hunt down some macarons.
We'll be back in the studio in late January / early February. Please continue to e-mail me at any time and I will reply as soon as possible. I'm also going to try to provide some updates during the trip and I'll be posting primarily to my Photo Journal so feel free to visit me there!

In the Studio
Remember the fun studio shoot with Belle after our team won the photo scavenger hunt? We were fortunate enough to win some time at Heaven on Earth studio and Lorna, the owner, even volunteered to model for us.
The theme was... you guessed it... big hair! I got to play hair stylist for the day. I was reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands - but minus the scissors - with my animated teasing, abstract mumbling, giant can of hairspray, and bobby pins galore. The result was as wonderful as I imagined. It's no secret that I've always wanted frizzy hair - the kind you can stick a fork in - and Lorna's thick red mane brought out the green-eyed monster in me. Seriously, the sheer volume and incredible colour made me want to do cartwheels.
Lorna, thanks for being such a wonderful model - I would photograph you again any time!!!

Photo Journal
To kick off the new year, I would like to introduce my brand new Photo Journal. I will be using this site to share my various photo projects, including my 365 day iPhone project and my 52 week self portrait project. Please visit often as I plan to post new content quite frequently and who knows what silliness you'll find there. Happy 2011!
